Exercise Classes
At Beaumaris Physiotherapy, our Exercise Classes are designed to improve strength, balance, mobility, and overall confidence in movement, with programs tailored to suit different goals and abilities.
For our over 55s strength and balance classes, the focus is on maintaining independence, reducing the risk of falls, and supporting long-term musculoskeletal health. Each session combines targeted strength training, balance and coordination exercises, and functional movement patterns that directly translate to everyday activities such as walking, stair climbing, and getting up from the floor or a chair. Exercises are carefully progressed to suit individual capacity, with an emphasis on safety, control, and building confidence in movement.
Our Mat Pilates classes focus on core strength, postural control, flexibility, and movement awareness. These classes are designed to improve overall body conditioning in a low-impact environment, supporting both injury prevention and general wellbeing. Sessions are guided by physiotherapy principles to ensure exercises are both safe and effective, with modifications provided to accommodate different levels of ability.
Clinical Pilates is also available for those requiring a more individualised, rehabilitation-focused approach. This is discussed in detail here, where we outline how Clinical Pilates is used as part of targeted injury management and recovery programs.
Across all of our exercise classes, the emphasis is on high-quality movement, gradual progression, and supportive guidance in a structured environment. Our goal is to help you move better, feel stronger, and maintain long-term physical independence and health.
